Rosewood seems like an ideal place to live as it has a stellar community college. While Ezra and Byron had messy personal lives, they seemed passionate about their teaching positions, and it's got a pretty campus that rivals any other school.
This would be a solid place to get an education. Near the end of the show, it was transformed from an institution to a trendy hotel. While the liars seemed to like grabbing drinks and dinner there, it was clear that they always got a bad vibe from the place. While Rosewood has some great qualities, Radley has a creepy history and it seems like a place that residents would want to avoid. It would be hard to see it as only a fun hotel or spot to have some cocktails.
Rosewood is close to Philadelphia, and the liars sometimes go into New York City, so it's the best of both worlds: residents get charming small town vibes but they can visit cities when they want to. It can be tough to choose between living in an adorable town or a larger urban center, as both have their strong suits.
Living in Rosewood would allow for quieter weeks and some fun weekend trips to nearby cities, which sounds appealing. The characters in Rosewood have lots of money and that does lead to some snobby personalities. Before the mystery began, Ali was in charge of her friends and she definitely rule the school and much of the town.
Teenagers usually want to fit in with their peers, but in Rosewood, this means wearing designer clothing and, sometimes, being mean to people who don't fit the typical mold. Even the adults in Rosewood get caught up in wanting to have a comfortable lifestyle, as Spencer's parents are very fancy, and Hanna's mom Ashley was always worried about cash.
The focus on wealth might be difficult to live with. Many small towns have a warm feeling and love of community, and that seems to be the case in Rosewood. Everyone knows each other, and while this can often lead to gossip and negativity, it seems to work here. The liars' moms are friendly and like helping each other out, and no one seems to be left out.

Menu PhillyVoice. Entertainment Television. Rosemont College. Like Hollis College, the local school where Aria Montgomery takes art classes and Ezra Fitz used to teach, Rosemont is a liberal arts college with an old-fashioned campus. Though the campus filmed as Hollis is Ohio State University, Rosemont really gives off that classic collegiate vibe. With its stone facade and rolling greens, it's worth touring for the views alone. HotHouse Coffee. The little shop has found plenty of Instagram fans for its pretty lattes and the local art hanging on its walls.
Though HotHouse only opened a few years ago, it's almost like they used episodes of "Pretty Little Liars" as design inspiration. Bryn Mawr Film Institute. Rosewood Movie Theater, where quite a few dates happen on "Pretty Little Liars," is the show's go-to spot for black-and-white and silent films.
Despite its exterior appearance changing over the show's six seasons, one thing has remained the same: it always has a classic movie palace marquee. Strangely enough, Bryn Mawr Film Institute is known for hosting high-brow film programs and also has a retro neon marquee lighting up its facade. Saint Thomas of Villanova Parish. Just outside of Rosemont lies a beautiful church on Villanova University's campus.
Though it doesn't look quite like the church that is so often frequented by the Liars — usually for quite unfortunate reasons — its 19th-century architecture is worth a look. Instead, it blinded his step-sister, Jenna, who was inside. Even if no one found out that it was the Liars' doing, just the story of this attack and Jenna being left blind probably would have been a story that people were talking about on social media.
The Halloween episodes of Pretty Little Liars were always some of the creepiest and strangest. In "This is a Dark Ride," the season three Halloween episode, the Liars went on a Halloween party on a train with Adam Lambert as a special musical guest.
On this ride, Aria got locked in a box and almost tossed off the train by a member of the A Team. Considering Adam Lambert was performing, it seems like it's safe to assume that security would be a lot higher on the train that night and a stunt like this wouldn't have gone without notice.
Maya was a side character in the early seasons and one of the love interests of Emily Fields. After being sent away by her parents to a rehabilitation camp, Maya was sadly never seen again and it eventually came out that she was killed by someone who was stalking her and had come to Rosewood to kill Emily as well.
Even though not every disappearance in a small town makes national headlines, the fact that there had been so many in Rosewood likely would have drawn some attention to the town. That, paired with what a spectacle it was when Lyndon was discovered at the cabin, would definitely make Maya's disappearance a bigger story.
The night of Alison's disappearance is one that was a big mystery through a lot of the series. Was she killed? Did she simply run away? It eventually became clear that Alison had been attacked and her mother, believing her to be dead, buried her alive.
Alison's return to Rosewood was definitely a big deal and the fact that her disappearance was all over the news, the revaluation that she had been buried alive probably would have been a huge deal.
